House rules.

Off the Record exists so people in imaging can say what they actually think without betting their job on it. You post as a role — Radiologist or Technologist — and that's all anyone ever sees. No names, no accounts, no employers. We built the system so we couldn't identify you even if someone asked.

Real talk about the work: pay, staffing, admin decisions, equipment, burnout, wins, the stuff your department won't say out loud. Strong opinions are welcome. Venting is welcome. Disagreement is welcome — aim it at the argument, not the person.

These get content removed, no debate:

• No names. Not coworkers, not managers, not physicians, not yours.
• No employers. Don't name hospitals, imaging centers, or staffing agencies — "a large academic center in the Midwest" is as specific as it gets.
• No patient information. Nothing that could identify a patient, ever. Not even close calls.
• No harassment or threats. Direct them at anyone and you're done.
• No spam or self-promotion. Recruiters, this means you.

Every post and reply has a report flag. One report puts content in front of a moderator. Two reports from different readers hides it from the board automatically until a moderator reviews it — it comes back if it's fine, it stays gone if it isn't. Vote counts survive the round trip.

You can delete your own posts and replies from the same browser you wrote them in — deletion is permanent and takes the whole thread under a post with it. If you left an email for reply notifications, it's encrypted, never shown to anyone, and deleted along with your post. Clearing your browser data clears your connection to what you wrote; that's the anonymity working as intended.

This board works because people trust it. Post what's true, flag what crosses a line, and keep the quiet parts loud.
